Manchester City bring havoc to The Red Devil’s already ruined season
Manchester United sacked Ole Gunner Solskjaer, predicting it would be better if they bring on fresh blood on the sideline. But, even the German coach Ralf Ragnick has failed to bring out the best of the Red Devils. This week, Manchester City brought havoc to the Red Devil’s already ruined season.
Manchester United is in disarray, and their new manager hasn’t fared well in comparison to the Red Devils’ illustrious history. Since their three-goal margin defeat against The Citizens, Ralf Ragnick has been under a lot of criticism.
Manchester City too good for Manchester United
Manchester City, on the other side, is one of Europe’s top teams. Their assault, midfield, and defence are all in sync. They are the league leaders in the EPL this season, with Pep Guardiola, the Spanish tactical wizard, on the sidelines.
“We struggled to make a better build-up, to bring it in their half,” Pep said after defeating Manchester United. “In the first half we scored some actions on the counter-attack. They did really well. We felt from the first minute of the second half, we had the game in control.”
Kevin De Bruyne’s opener was nullified by Jadon Sancho after seventeen minutes. Manchester United played well in the first half, but the Red Devils struggled in the second.
At the outset of the season, the Red Devils display fans a ‘mirage’.
Manchester United started the season at a huge note. They brought players like Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, Jadon Sancho from Dortmund. They most importantly signed Ronaldo, who returned to Old Trafford after 12 years. They produced some decent performances under Ole Gunner Solskjaer in the Premier League and The Champions League.
In a state of turmoil
Cristiano Ronaldo is the subject of speculation, with reports suggesting that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner may leave Old Trafford at the end of current season. PSG is also rumoured to be attempting to unite Messi and Ronaldo next season, since PSG’s Kylian Mbappe is anticipated to leave. If these accusations prove to be accurate, it will be a major blow to Manchester United fans, who are already hurt.
Manchester United are packed with tough matches this month and they need to be at their best. They face Tottenham on Saturday and later face Atletico Madrid for their second leg in the Champions League. Seeing Sir Alex Ferguson dejected at the stands breaks every football fans heart. Let’s hope Manchester United can turn the situation around.
